Wetlands Research Association

The Wetlands Research Association is a non-government organisation of professional wetland scientists and lawyers who research, publish information on, and advise on inland, coastal, and estuarine wetlands – those areas of seasonally, intermittently, permanently, tidally-inundated, water-logged, or marine-wetted soils or inundated land, fresh or saline water.

1. Conservation of natural wetlands
2. Research into all aspects of wetlands pertaining to their conservation
3. Advice to Government, community groups, action groups etc., in relation to requirements to achieve conservation and preservation of wetlands
4. Education of the local and global community in all aspects of wetlands conservation
5. Publication and dissemination of information accrued through wetland research
6. Seek funding for projects to achieve the above objectives
